Medway Youth Choir

The Medway Youth Choir was launched on 5 July 2015, after the success of the vocal and orchestral workshop with The Sixteen held in January.

The choir now meet for non-residential rehearsals during the year for an intensive musical experience. They perform at a number of high profile public concerts, with many opportunities for collaboration with the Medway Youth Orchestra.

We are delighted to confirm an ongoing partnership with world-renowned choral group The Sixteen. Medway Youth Choir members are able to benefit from the support of their professional singers and leaders.

Entry Requirements:  Singing and choral qualifications are not required, however you do need to be able to read music to a basic level. Fluent sight readers are welcome and encouraged. Please tell us a little bit about your singing experience on your application form. This could be singing in school, church or Music Centre choirs or having singing lessons.

Age limit: There is no lower age limit for the Medway Youth Choir, although we would generally recommend female singers to be around 14 and above. Male singers must have a broken voice. The choir is open to anyone up to and including university age singers.

There is no charge for membership of the Medway Youth Choir.
