Sing & play is a fun and engaging music group for children aged 5-7.

 

The group meets every Saturday morning during term time at 9:30 – 10:00 at St. Margaret’s Junior School, Rainham as part of St. Margaret’s Music Centre.

The sessions introduce young children to music by singing nursery rhymes and other well known songs, through movement and dancing, by learning percussion instruments such as the glockenspiel and hand bells and learning a few basic keyboard skills.

 

The sessions also focus on different features of music such as pitch, tempo and dynamics but the most important part is having fun!

 

Sing & Play membership costs £15 for one academic year, payable either in full or in three instalments of £5.

 

Medway Music Association is passionate about making music available to all young people in Medway and that no one is excluded on financial grounds. If the membership fee is prohibitive, please write a letter explaining your situation marked for the attention of The Director, Medway Music Association, in order to be considered for bursary support for the Music School.  All will be considered on a case by case basis.

 

There is also the opportunity for Sing & Play members to join the Music Centre’s Beginner recorder group which rehearses at 10.00 am.
